Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2018 Kay Marrs

Born and raised on the family ranch near Whitewood, SD, Kay Marrs is the 23-year old daughter of Paul and Linda Marrs. She is a recent graduate from South Dakota State University, earning a degree in Animal Science and plans to put her education to work on her family’s ranch. Growing up immersed in the ranching lifestyle, Kay naturally acquired a love for horses, livestock, and rodeo. Prior to college, Kay was actively involved with 4-H for 11 years and particularly enjoyed showing livestock and livestock judging. She continues to be a part of her local club by helping younger 4-Hers with their livestock projects. At SDSU, she maintained a spot on the Dean’s List and was named a Phi Kappa Phi Outstanding Scholar. In 2011, Kay was honored to serve as Jr. Miss Rodeo South Dakota and especially appreciated the opportunity to educate young children about our state sport as well as the importance of agriculture in our communities.
